“Sail and Steam” Visit to Maldon, Essex.

Maldon has one of the largest collections of historic vessels anywhere in the UK including Thames sailing barges, steam tugs and is centre of wooden boat building and repair.

Our visit will include a “behind the scenes” tour of Blue Mermaid, the new sailing barge commissioned by Sea-Change Sailing Trust led by Richard Titchener and the steam tug Brent, currently being restored and led by Janet Hall.

Meet at the Hythe Quay, Maldon CM9 5HN at 11.30.
